We are looking for an Assistant Spa Manager for a luxury private members club spa in Eastern Highlands, Scotland. Location of work is beautiful Skibo castle.

Tasks:

  • Focus is on excellent treatments, extra mile customer service and a Spa Experience that’s not forgotten.
  • You will assist in the day to day operations of the Spa along with Spa Manager.
  • You will also be required to do duty manager shifts.
  • This is a great step into Spa Management.

Requirements:

  • You must be a fully qualified Beauty Therapist CIDESCO, CIBTHAC, ITEC OR NVQ LEVEL 3 in Beauty Therapy.
  • You must have excellent technical skills and at least 3 years’ experience and have a confident air about you as you will be working on VIP Clients, A list celebrities.
  • You must be calm, flexible and have a can do attitude

What we offer:

  • The live-in accommodation we have on offer are single use rooms with en-suite shower or bathroom in lodges on the Skibo Estate.
  • We usually work 5 days out of 7 but it can be that some weeks it is 6 days and others only 4. Overall it is an annualised contract with 2080 hours to be worked in 12 months including 28 days annual leave/bank holidays (pro rata for this year as our financial year is April to March). Usual working hours are 09.45 – 19:00 with 1 hour lunch break, this again can change slightly during very busy times.
  • We do have a staff gym on site and there are bicycles that can be used and for example horse riding and clay pigeon shooting (if no members are on) can be booked for a small fee.
  • These lodges are within walking distance from the Castle. We currently charge £42.50 per week for a room (single use) and if somebody wants all meals (off duty) included it is an additional £20 per week.
  • There are 4 Treatment rooms and the working hours are usually from 09:45 to 19:00 with 1 hour lunchbreak, 7 days a week. This can vary slightly when business demands.
  • The business is closing from beginning of January  until end of February which allows for personal development and visits to suppliers, etc.
  • We offer our members massages, Hot stone treatments, a signature treatment from ishga specially designed for Skibo, facials, manicures, pedicures, body scrubs and wraps and reflexology and Hair by appointment.
  • Because we are a private members club there are no appointments for external people and we focus on quality rather than quantity. For example no Therapist will have to do more than 5 massages a day to ensure this is the case.
  • Salary range: 25k
